Up North

$112.00

The heavily forested Upper Peninsula of Michigan is rich in mineral deposits and for many years its mines were the world’s largest producers of copper. This is the back story of this brooch. It is cast in sterling silver from a live Michigan cedar and paired with a copper firebrick, taken from the ruins of copper smelting furnaces in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan and set in the silver waves of the Great Lakes. 2″ long with a steel clasp in the back.
